Blogger Evening is a 3 column free theme created by Chica Blogger. The template has a clean layout, a slider on the home page and 3 column footer.

It has a colorful header space to insert your blog logo, on the right of it is the internal search box and a horizontal menu bar below it for the category, contact page etc. In order to change the header logo, access Edit Html, search for this image url and replace it with your blog logo.

The slider allows you to showcase your top/featured posts, which you can modify from Design--Page Elements and paste the code from the file named as "Slideshow code.txt" in the download folder.

While the sidebar includes social networking icons that allow readers to subscribe to your blog content. Simply go to Design--Edit Html and look for the below code, you can change the icons, add the relevant links and save the changes -

The sidebar splits into two more columns, and that along with the 3 column footer gives you enough space to display your different blogger widgets.

Chinese Drop Blog Template

Chinese Drop is a 2 column skin ported to blogger by Blogger Template Place. Its got a cool design with a simple layout.

The header includes the menu bar with the categories displayed vertically, a twitter icon besides it and subscribe to RSS button is placed below it. In the main column the posts appear in a summarized 'Read More' format and has the default blogger social bookmarking widget integrated in the theme, whereas the post details - date stamp, labels, comments - are at the end of the post.

The single sidebar features a set of social bookmarking icons so your readers could follow your blog and share content on different sites. In order to modify the links, go to Edit Html and look for the following code -

Topzglow, a Funky Tech Theme

Topzglow is a 2 column theme designed by Simply WP and converted to blogger by Anshul.

This template has a funky header image embedded with few electronic gadgets. Although its a tech-related theme, Topzglow is not packed with features, thus catering to a casual technology blogger.

The main column starts with the post headline and a comment bubble on the right while the rest of the post details like author, time and labels appear at the end. The single column on the right consists a Twitter icon to keep your readers posted with the latest updates.

Below it the Subscribe to blog option, followed by the default blogger features like labels, recent posts etc. The theme also has the comment avatar feature activated. Overall Topzglow has a neat layout and suitable if you want to blog about technology.

Peekaboo Santa Blogger Template

Welcoming the festive season, Blogger Blog Templates brings to you special Christmas themes which are free to download from the site.

The first template of this series is Peekaboo Santa, a beautiful template designed by Template Mama, available in 3 and 2 columns.

This template has an animated Santa in the header image, which adds to the overall feel of the blog. Next to it is the blog title and description.

It has a fixed background image which stays the same on scrolling down the screen. In the main column the date stamp appears on the right, followed by the headline, and author, time and comments appear at the end of the post.

While the sidebar includes the default blogger widgets like About Me, Archive, Followers, My Blog List etc. You can make the changes and delete or add few from Page Elements.

Overall its a nice template design to use for Christmas.

Created by Styleshout, FreshPick theme is converted to blogger by Chica Blogger. Its a 2 column template that has a minimalist and clean layout.
The header of this theme contains a simple image on the right, and the blog headline and one-line description fits in on the left. Below that is the navigation bar which can be customised by accessing Edit Html and search for the following code and replace them with relevant links -

Hybrid News Blogger Theme

Hybrid News is the original magazine-style theme designed by Free Blogger Template. The 3 column template is packed with lot of features to facilitate display of your top content.
Hybrid News comes with a dual menu bar, each above and below the header image. Adjacent to the first navigation bar is an internal search box, while the header also contains ad space on the right. There is a slider section to display your latest posts, with a brief about your post and an image. Since the slider script uses Atom feed, it will automatically update the slider content.

The sidebar has 2 boxes before it splits into two more columns, so you can add any blogger features of your choice.

Not Magazine Blogger Template

Not Magazine blogger template is an innovative creation of Cebong Ipiet. Its a 4 column template that becomes 3 column on entering a post. Its a wonderful feature as it gives more space for your post.
Not magazine, I am not sure why Cebong choose this name, gives ample space to display your content. Let's begin with the menu bar on top that also contains a search box. That's followed by the header, there is space to put your banner ad next to the blog title and description, and below it too there is a thin strip provided to embed a 728x15 adsense ad.

The home page consists of 4 columns, the left hand side column includes a RSS feed option, and you can also add one more blogger widget below it. While the main column might seem narrow on the home page, when you click on the post title the left sidebar disappears, making the post column broader.

Social bookmark icons appear at the end of every post and even the Read more feature is incorporated in this template. The right side columns can be used to display sponsorship ads, if any, or else a welcome note for the readers followed by the remaining content. Not Magazine template has additional 3 columns in the footer section, so it is more like magazine style template:) If you write on array of topics, then you can consider using Not Magazine template.

Blue Glide Blogger Skin

Designed by Cebong Ipiet, Blue Glide blogger skin is a 3 column template that comes with a glider to add your featured posts, image gallery or slideshow.
Blue Glide template doesn't include a conventional header, instead the blog title and description appears in the right sidebar in a designed box. Adjacent to that is the image slider for your featured posts, image size should preferably be 620x220 pixel. You can also have a display of your photographs with the post title and description.

If you are adding five images, copy the same code five times and add the image url, post link, title and summary. The posts starts below the slider and the author name, timestamp and comments are placed in a blue rectangular box. The template also has the Read More feature enabled, followed by labels.

In this template the search box is integrated in the side column, after which you can add few blogger widgets. Then the column splits into two where you can place the rest of your content like labels, blog list, archives etc.

The white and grey background with strips of blue gives it a neat look. Blue Glide template can be used for a personal or photography blog.

Dark Forest Blogger Theme

Here's a new blogger theme called Dark Forest, created by an Indian company Ray Creations. They seem to be relatively new in the designing field, but they have created some interesting blogger templates.
As the name suggests, Dark Forest is a 2 column template with nature as its main theme. The header has a beautiful landscape picture, where you can add your blog title and description. On the top right corner there is space to add your Comments and Posts RSS.

The two columns appear on a blue background with floral designs on top, and then the main column has a white background, on top of the blue. Next to the post headline is a neat calender icon for the date, and below it is the labels and comments icon.

The sidebar, which has a brownish background, starts with a search box and its designed in a way like its clipped to the sidebar. Then you can add the section you like, the default ones are welcome note, archives and labels. Each headline has a flowery design as its icon that looks quite pretty.

If you have a personal blog or a nature blog, then you might want to consider using this theme.
